MARKETING ASSISTANT / PA

Mzuri is a fast-paced Marketing, Design and Digital agency in Liphook. We’re looking for an experienced, organised and resourceful individual with plenty of marketing and administrative experience to organise, support and drive the office.

As marketing assistant / PA you will be responsible for providing excellent administrative support to the team at Mzuri with a heavy focus on marketing administration.

This is a varied role with plenty of scope to grow. No two days will be the same, and tasks will include office administration and management, running errands, shepherding incoming calls, working on client projects, coordination of everything from diaries to mailshots, idea generation and much more.

YOU WILL NEED

EXPERIENCE in a customer facing role and a charming client-side manner. You will need to feel at ease with being the first person clients will hear and see when they interact with Mzuri. It’s a critical role in nurturing our current clients and also fostering new client and supplier relationships!

EXCELLENT IT SKILLS A high level of proficiency in Outlook, Excel and Word as well as a good typing speed are paramount, and experience of content management systems, WordPress, Xero and any CRM system would be an advantage. Full training would be given on new programmes.

STRONG TIME MANAGEMENT You will be supporting the whole team, so you need to have a firm handle on your time management and have exemplary organisational skills, knowing how to prioritise, and be adept at multi-tasking. You’ll love working in an environment where things move fast.

PASSION For design, for marketing, for digital, for doing a great job. We’re not expecting you to be able to design a brand, write a marketing strategy or build a website, but we think it is essential that you have an appreciation for what we do and want to contribute to it. Agency life can be very busy and fast-paced, but no matter how pressured the day, we have a great time because we love what we do. We all like to think we all have a GSOH, but we’ll let you be the judge!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Whilst not an exhaustive list, your responsibilities will include:

FIRST CONTACT You will be the first person people see and hear when they engage with Mzuri. You will handle all telephone traffic, directing calls to the appropriate member of the team, or actioning when you can. In addition you will be point person for answering the door, settling clients into the meeting room with refreshments and signing for deliveries.

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT The mainstay of this role is supporting the team in the pursuit of client projects. This will entail everything from typing, proof-reading, photocopying, posting, filing, data entry, copy-writing, researching, social media programming, organising… and the usual host of administrative duties which keep an office and client projects running smoothly.

OFFICE MANAGEMENT Our small office largely runs itself, but we hate to run out of coffee! You’ll keep on top of stock levels for our in-house printing, stationery and catering supplies, replenishing and organising as necessary. You will also need to set up our meeting room for client meetings with appropriate IT, presentation and catering provisions.

SYSTEMS We have a host of existing systems – across our CRM, accounts package, Excel, Outlook and Word and you will be responsible for keeping many of these up to date. We’d like you to be proactive in suggestions for streamlining, and also for you to develop processes to improve our information management.

COLLABORATION As our lynchpin, you will have exposure to a wide range of client and Mzuri projects through meetings, discussions and project support. We would love to hear your contributions to projects and and welcome your ideas on everything from interiors to business development to help continue to push Mzuri forward.

The role is full time, 5 days per week. We are happy to consider a flexible working pattern.
