Mzuri was tasked with creating an identity for the festival and then managing this and rolling it out across a new website, social media profiles, email marketing and print. The logo lock up including The Independent and Pearson logos was developed when they were confirmed as media partner and headline sponsor respectively.
We built a responsive website that is modern, fresh and adaptable. It uses graphical elements taken from the logo and well as lots of large, impactful images of the students, speakers and campus, helping to set the scene and to inspire.
The website was to be used as a key tool to promote the event and to keep the target audience up to date with news such as speaker and programme announcements. It provides all the information that people need in the run up to and after the Festival including speaker profiles, programme, FAQs, the ethos of the Festival, as well as key contact and location information.
After initial set up, we worked with the University of Buckingham on ongoing website curation, supporting them right up until the inaugural Festival in September 2016.
In addition to the website, we were also tasked with creating a bespoke Mailchimp template to enable easy ongoing communication and we worked with them on programme design and print management, delegate communications and delegate badges.
