Tea with EnViva Care

On Friday 24th May I attended EnViva Care’s Tea Party at their offices in Alton, which was held in order to raise awareness of Dementia in Dementia Awareness Week.  EnViva Care also had a collection to raise funds for The Alzheimer’s Society and had invited local MP Damien Hinds along to show his support for the cause.  A large majority of people and their loved ones have been touched by dementia.

A shocking one in three people over 65 will die with dementia and the Alzheimer’s Society research shows that 800,000 people in the UK have a form of dementia, more than half have Alzheimer’s disease.  In less than 10 years a million people will be living with dementia.  This will soar to 1.7 million people by 2051.

Well done to EnViva Care for raising awareness and fundraising for such a far reaching cause.
