JUNE 7, 2016
We were delighted when the team at the University of Buckingham approached us to develop the official website and digital marketing tools for the Festival of Higher Education, taking place this September and the website is now live!
Our brief was to create an identity for the festival and roll this out onto a website, social media profiles and email marketing. The site was to be used as a key tool to promote the event and to keep the target audience up to date with news such as speaker and programme announcements. We built a responsive website that was modern, fresh and adaptable.
The site uses graphical elements taken from the logo and well as lots of large, impactful images of the students, speakers and campus, helping to set the scene and inspire. The site provides all the information people will need in the run up to and after the Festival including speaker profiles, programme, FAQs, the ethos of the Festival, as well as key contact and location information. In addition to the website, we were also tasked with creating a bespoke Mailchimp template to enable easy ongoing communication.
The design emulates the site with clean lines and white space and elements of the logo have been weaved into the template to further extend the brand. Taking place at The University of Buckingham’s town centre campus, the Festival of Higher Education will be modelled on the hugely successful Sunday Times Festival of Education, which Sir Anthony Seldon started at Wellington College six years ago. Both festivals are delivered with the help of the talented team at Summerhouse Media.
There will be talks, panel sessions and debates on a huge range of the most important issues facing HE with the focus in 2016 will be on “Universities of the future: how to prepare now”. To book your ticket and find out more information, visit the website.
