Hi, I’m Alice

Hi, I’m Alice and I am currently studying Graphic Design at University of Portsmouth and will shortly be going into my third year to complete my degree.

Last week, I was lucky to have the opportunity to complete a week of work experience at MZURI. From the first day in the office, I felt so at home and welcome. My first project was to be involved in a meeting with a prospective client, which was such a great experience to see how a brief was developed.

I have been working on different briefs and projects all week, from website designs through to stationery – no two days have been the same. The MZURI team really are lovely and work seamlessly together.

I’ve had the chance to work with Phil and Tatum in the design studio, utilising my illustration skills to create story boards for a large animation project which we presented to the client remotely via ‘go to meeting’.

I have gained an incredible amount of knowledge this week, from learning new technical skills, using new software with Tatum, and picking Phil’s brains about the graphic design industry, which I am so excited to be working in once I graduate.

Last week really inspired me, I have genuinely learnt so much that will help me in my last year at uni and beyond. I am now raring to get stuck back into my studies, prepare for graduation and start working in this fantastic creative industry!
