Simon Cavicchia, an international organisational coach and consultant has worked with individuals at all levels, from executives to senior management teams within organisations such as BP, Breast Cancer Care, Lloyd’s of London, John Lewis Partnership, Microsoft and many more.
Mzuri collaborated with Simon on a number of different projects including ‘The Growing Edge’ website and ‘Body In Mind’ printed collateral. We were delighted when Simon approached us to help create the illustrations for his latest book ‘The Theory and Practice of Relational Coaching: Complexity, Paradox and Integration.’
Simon Cavicchia and co-author Maria Gilbert expand on existing coaching theory and practice to focus on the implications of the relational turn for how coaches and clients think about the nature of identity, the self, change, learning, and individual and organisational development.
In order to visualise his theories, Simon commissioned Mzuri to create a number of diagrams which would feature throughout the book to illustrate some of the complex ideas that he tackles within the publication.
We were really enthused after Simon provided us with a number of his own sketches which outlined the ideas. Having his own visual interpretations, allowed us to create a series of illustrations with greater accuracy and authenticity.
The book is targeted towards coaches and coaching psychologists in practice and training, as well as counsellors and psychotherapists retraining as coaches. We set about creating a number of different visual styles that we felt would appeal to his key demographic. With further development and detailed feedback from Simon, we produced an illustrative style that not only conveyed the messages clearly and succinctly, but also represented the personality of the author.
Both Simon and the Publisher (Routledge) were very happy with the outcome.
You can find the book in a number of good booksellers or online through the Amazon book store.
Can we help you with a project?
