Joe’s Road

When my four year old twins Joe and Kitty decided that they’d like to have their own rooms, the frustrated designer in me saw an opportunity to do something really special. Kitty’s room was easy and she now rests in a cherry blossom strewn bower fit for the princess she is usually dressed up to be! Joe’s room on the other hand took a bit more thought. I was chatting it over with Lara, one of our fabulous graphic designers, one lunchtime and it was she that suggested designing the huge road circuit that I wanted but couldn’t find, from scratch and having it applied to the bedroom wall as vinyl…genius!

True to her word Lara went to town and designed the best possible road circuit, complete with roundabout, train track and crossings, the artwork measured an impressive 2.7×1.7m overall but that didn’t faze Phil, our ever practical and capable signage supplier who installed it (with Joe’s ‘help’!) just a few days later. The road looks amazing and Joe was literally awestruck when he saw it complete with all the vinyl vehicles I’d bought to go with it!

I guess the moral of the story is that the Mzuri team relishes a challenge and our creativity isn’t just confined to business related and corporate work, if there is anything we can do to help you achieve that perfect effect then please let us know, we’d be delighted to help.

In the meantime, I have a very happy little boy who loves spending time in his fabulous new room! Vroom Vroom…
