JULY 24, 2013
The National Open Art Competition (NOAC) is a registered charity whose aim is to provide a truly open and fair platform for all UK artists to exhibit, sell and promote their work. They do this by offering an annual competition, with exhibitions in London, Chichester and other venues throughout the UK. As they receive no Arts Council funding, they are reliant on registration fees, donations, art sales, advertising and sponsorship to maintain their existence and to enable them to continue their work.
NOAC holds an annual competition for artists to submit their artwork, their mission being to help artists from across the entire UK to exhibit and sell their art. Entries will be closing soon, and you have up until 31st July to submit an entry. This year, the prize money of £60,000 is split across a variety of different categories. To find out more about the competition, and how to go about submitting an entry and conditions of entry, please visit the NOAC website.
Artwork will be judged by Brian Sewall, English Art Critic and Media personality; Dr Barbara Rae CBE RA RE, acclaimed artist and printmaker; Michael Hoppen, owner of one of the best known photographic galleries in the UK; David Middleton from the board of headline sponsor TOWRY The Wealth Adviser, he will judge by representing the opinions of any art loving member of the public, and lastly, James Green, Assistant Director at Stephen Friedman Gallery and trustee of The Chichester Art Trust.
If you decide to submit a piece of art work, we wish you all the very best in the rounds of judging!
