Supporting Women’s Cricket in 2024

We are delighted to be supporting women’s cricket at Grayshott Cricket Club again. In 2024, we are sponsoring the Strikers and Chargers for the coming season.

Aiming for another successful season

In 2023, Women’s cricket went from strength to strength with a great season. The Chargers finished top of their I’Anson league, to make Finals Day against Farncombe Ferns. In a rain-delayed match, the fairytale ending wasn’t to be as Farncombe played superbly to beat the Chargers. Onwards and upwards! Grayshott then played in the Surrey SMASH indoor cricket tournament over the winter, finishing second to a very impressive Godalming.

Looking ahead to 2024

Women’s cricket was founded at Grayshott in 2020, with just a handful of players who were complete beginners. Fast forward to 2024, and they start the season with a squad of around 30 players! Our sponsorship helps the Club to provide the equipment and weekly coaching needed for the teams. We love that we can help to encourage women to take up a fantastic sport in their local area. Not only does it mean weekly coaching and matches, but it’s also creating a fun, supportive and very social group of players who enjoy spending time together away from cricket too!

We’re hoping to make it to a few matches this year to see the teams in action. Account Manager Alex is heavily involved with the Club again this season; captaining the Women, as Vice-Chair and volunteering across various areas of the Club.
