The annual publication, which features news of former pupils and staff of all ages, is widely read and well loved by the Old Girls Association Alumnae.
The brief for the 2017 edition was to strengthen its appeal to the younger generation as well as more mature readers. Marketing Manager at Guildford High School, Louise Miles, was keen to increase the content generated by recent pupils and felt a more magazine style approach would appeal to younger readers and encourage the girls to submit their news.
We set to work developing concepts which spoke to this brief, steering away from the more traditional newsletter design, and created a stylish, contemporary magazine which would entice readers of all generations to delve deeper and reconnect with the school.
Other recent projects include creation of a new concept for print advertising, for use in regional press, which incorporated the school's new strapline - Inspiring Girls. The creative made use of recent photography, which showed the girls enjoying an inspiring science lesson, and the copy was confident in its simplicity.
In addition each year we produce printed display boards presenting a pictorial round up of a 'Year at GHS' as well as specific Drama productions and events. The display boards feature a mix of photography, portraying the wonderful and varied activities that take place each year at the school.
